Thoughts: thinking about my new job with a mix of enthusiasm and anxiety, wanting to do well and be good enough, wanting to exceed my own current competency levels and get better; planning ahead about next week's busy schedule; thinking about how best to arrange the bedroom furniture, what needs to be cleaned and prepared for when my dad comes; thinking about the white kids suicides being featured so much on the news lately, as if this type of things hasn't been going on for years; thinking about how idiotic politicians are when it comes to short term memory (having watched last night's episode of The Daily Show over lunch with Jeff); thinking about the PNC and hoping it doesn't get sucked up into "politics as government" and partisanship and all that
Actions: work this morning, finished up the transcriptions, now waiting to hear about my next assignment/project; work on ritual some, perhaps, writing up a final draft; cleaning; trip to Michaels (seriously, this time); post to Meadowsweet
Connections: general interest and concern about the new job, which is totally natural of course; not very many "distracting" thoughts; I'd much rather be thinking about plans and productive things than worrying over silly stress, etc.
