Sun: sagittarius (fire/mutable), 7:14am - 4:58pm
Moon: waning gibbous, just after full, gemini (air/mutable)
Earth: almost unseasonably warm, up near 70, though somewhat blustery at times
Thoughts: thinking about last night's ritual, wondering about some of its more confusing aspects, wondering what kind of effect it might have (or not); brief period of time on Facebook got me riled up again over the TSA "enhanced pat downs," apparently now TSA security officers are being harassed at the workplace by angry and belligerent passengers; surprise, surprise, when you encourage people to be angry and afraid, they'll act out in hostile ways towards the people they perceive as most directly to blame (even if those people are just "messengers")
Actions: check Lady of the Stars forum to read through other people's responses this morning; clean and rearrange things to make it easier to move furniture in/out; tried to get some work done, but the server is having problems (on their end, not mine) so my connection was too slow to get much useful stuff done, got a few hours in after lunch before the server slowed down again; had a nice visit with my dad and my brother, went out to lunch with them and Jeff after helping them move new(ish) furniture in; had a moment of panic about the missing cat, but turns out he was hiding behind one of the curtains in the dining room and fell asleep there; now waiting for Jeff to finish up work, then want to spend some time uploading photos of last night's altar and checking back with the forum
Connections: other than the brief distraction of Facebook stupidity, today was a very productive day with lots of interest and work done, despite a slow server connection; I'm still feeling incredibly thankful for a job that challenges my efficiency and accuracy and gives me tasks to do that I can feel as though I've accomplished and completed at the end of my work day; also, the money is nice; really looking forward to hearing from others about their ritual experiences with Brigid of the Forge Fire, comparing notes, etc.
Daily Tarot Card: Death comes as a moment of transformation and liberation, though it may be a moment full of pain, difficulty and sorrow as so many endings are. This card indicates a moment of change, the end of an old and outdated way of life, perhaps one not fulfilling or too bogged down by external forms, and the joyous possibility of a new life beckoning. The way is not necessarily clear, but requires a plunge into the dark, perseverance and hope as lights to guide you along the way. Something new will be born from the old, if you have the courage to let go and remain open. This is the way of all life in the world, the cycles of life, death and rebirth ever turning under the stars.
